The article will cover the notification templates that are active (by default) by the activity type.
Need to Know
- Activities have been configured to keep only the most relevant notification templates active. This is to reduce the number of templates shown and to prevent any unnecessary notifications to go out
- Even though only a select few templates have been activated, an administrator can activate any inactive templates at the activity level.
- This article will cover the most common activity types created and list the default notifications that are active (not all activity types)
- Not all activities have notifications associated / activated

Activity Types
In the tables below the notification name and template will be listed to easily locate the template in CSU Learn. The trigger column will display when the notification will be sent out. Immediate notification triggers will sent once the action is completed. Nightly notification triggers will send at night (typically around 10 p.m.).
Bundle
By default, the following notifications are active. Bundles are locked down so the two notifications listed will always be active. Feel free to inactivate them at the activity level when creating a bundle.

Course
By default, the following notifications are active. If you plan to subscribe a course to a curriculum, it is best practice to inactivate all notifications at the course level and allow the notifications to come from the curriculum.

Curriculum
By default, the following notifications are active. Please note that if your curriculum is not designated as a certification (recur on a set frequency), you can inactivate the Certification Expiration and Certification Expiration Reminder notification templates at the activity level.
